Ode to Israel Neruda inspired

To catch you now is to watch you sleep
I fear I took your stillness for granted my love,
Legs strong, arms long, spirit wild
you RUUUUNNN...
and never stop it seems
I love to watch you sleep so still
Your eyes closed, eyelashes reaching for the sky like little strings of silk
Your breath, it brings me joy
Telling me how full of life you are, despite your stillness
Your cheek, so soft, I can once again stroke
With no complaints of more urgent things to do.
Now that your days are filled with movement, talk and play
With less room for my kisses and hugs to get in your busy way
I love to watch you sleep love,
for in those quiet moments at the end of each day,
I sit and watch you breath and know,
My baby you will stay

Love...

I remembered you yesterday

How much time has passed since you

ran through me, the heat of you

warming my skin

Its at times when I am still

Eyes closed but not blind

I watch pictures of you dancing

across eyelids, The tingles of your touch

curling my lips to my eyes

Resonating in your presence

The glass from the window touching

my head is enough.....

The bus stops and I get up refreshed

I feel you near me, and I am consoled.

Oh love how you come when I need you.

Whether a second or an hour, you always

leave me full....waiting for your next passing by.
