I see your face each time I look at mine
I see you in the shadows of the lines that make up me
My face, My hands, My legs my feet, not new, just borrowed
from you, abuela, vickita, ruth......
All mine, yet yours, and theirs,
we share the same truth.
I walk the same line just a different time....
wanting to know more of how their stories went....
so glad it led to mine

through the encephalon

Racing through time
As I transform in front

The battle was yours

Not realizing all of us
would be caught
in the spiraling winds
of fate
struggling to carry
the weight
They said I digressed
I disagree
My progress may not be
Plain enough for the simple
eye to see
The erosion of my soul
under waves of insanity

Snow

As the sky falls in white crystals
The city dissapears under a blanket
of snow
I laugh at you catching flakes on
your tongue
Chasing to get them before
they reach the ground
How little it takes to please you love
watching you make snow angels
melts the ice clinging to my heart
The trees are heavy with their new load
hiding the branches that Fall had
stripped bare
Happy their nakedness has been covered
Quiet beauty surrounds us and we stop and
stare
Another year gone
Still amazed at the wonders of God

Missing you

As yesterday slips quietly away
I lay searching for answers
An Indigo sky turns light blue
as the sun peeks over the horizon
I think of you and wonder
If you can see it too
The halls of your house are quiet
The music has stopped...
Sucked into the void of your abscence
Anxiety creeps through me
I close my eyes and let go
feeling the suns rays fighting
the cold on my face
Giving it up to grace
Knowing today is another chance
to get it right
Missing you has made us wiser
Cherishing the love that holds us
